Indoor Wedding Venue on the Oregon Coast

Nestled inside Azalea Park, this unique and beautiful A frame style wedding venue honestly looks a little like a space ship about to take off at any moment. Or perhaps from the right angle, you could envision it as a Starfleet communicator badge....
Either way, it is a stunning creation with a story built on love, in memory of Elmo Williams dear wife, Lorraine. The mixture of rock, wood, glass, crisscrossed beams and pews make an eye catching, chapel like venue to share your vows and union in.
It is a perfect indoor location for elopement ceremonies and micro weddings with less than 40 guests. It technically seats 40, but I personally think it's more comfortable with 30. As the Oregon Coast is very unpredictable in it's weather patterns, it is nice to have this option so close to the ocean in the event of rain, or just because it's a pretty cool place to get married!

You can View Footage inside Capella by the Sea at the 2:30 mark inside our Video!

The memorial:
“This is a memorial to my wife,
Lorraine, who taught us that life is a
marvelous gift — one that must be
fully shared with others. It is my hope
that all who enter here will know the
serenity of her spirit and find peace.”
….Elmo Williams

Plenty of Parking in Azalea Park.
The chapel is a little dark inside so we recommend hiring a photographer who is comfortable with flash or continuous lighting like we use! We offer Photo and Video packages for this venue. We also offer two spotlights that would enhance this space. They do have some overhead lights near the front, but I don't recommend using them since they cast a very bad orange light and can cause you to have racoon eyes if you stand in the wrong place. As your ceremony is unattended by the caretakers of this building, we recommend communicating with them or your wedding planner about switching the indoor lights off. We could not find any light switches that were visible, so be sure to communicate with the host ahead of time to have them turn off the overhead lights inside.

Azalea Park and Gardens
Honeysuckle, Azaleas and other flowers are usually in bloom in Late April/Early May.
The Photos Featured in this blog are from May 11th.
There are Public Restrooms in the Park, But we are not sure if they are open year round or what the hours are.

The Park has a mixture of trees, grass, flowers, a little hill with a gazeebo. The lawn area near the Capella is a slope but still pretty easy to walk on for couples photos.
