What is a Wedding Content Creator?
A Wedding Content Creator is someone who documents your wedding day behind the scenes moments, typically with their Phone and delivers the content shortly after your wedding. They may also be in charge of creating content for you to share such as Tik Toks, Instagram stories and reels.
Wedding Content Creators shoot photos and video clips on their phones in vertical mode throughout the day. These clips may contain behind the scenes of you getting ready, your decor and flowers being set up, you and your girls sharing a pajama champagne toast and more. The idea is that it is more raw and real content, not perfectly edited and more importantly, instant. This way, You can share and look back on parts of your day immediately after your wedding.
Many videographers can take 4-9 months to deliver your fully polished wedding film and other deliverables depending on the time of year your wedding occurred, how customized their wedding films are and their editing backlog. Having a content creator, gives you the option to see more behind the scenes that most likely won't make it into your final film. Do I Need a Wedding Content Creator?
The short answer is, no.
No, you don't NEED a wedding content creator. Wedding Content Creation is usually viewed as a luxury service in addition to your regular Photo/Video Team. If your budget allows for a Wedding Videographer, Choose That First Every Time! I'm not just saying that because I am a wedding videographer.
How are Wedding Videographers Different than a Content Creator?
Wedding Videographers deliver longer form videos shot in Landscape and polished content delivered a few months after your wedding, while Wedding Content Creators deliver instant BTS moments, Raw, Real, & Live content Primarily shot in Vertical Mode on a Phone, that you can enjoy and share immediately if you wish. Of course some shots in content creation can be stylized, but not at risk of interfering with the professional photo/video team or the wedding day timeline.
Essentially, regular wedding videographers capture professional audio and high quality, landscape oriented footage.
Content Creators are not normally capturing professional audio and are shooting their shots with a phone in vertical mode.
What if I Can't Afford a regular Videography Team?
If a Wedding Content Creator fits better into your budget and if you were not going to be able to hire a wedding videographer, then DEFINITELY HIRE A CONTENT CREATOR!
But just be aware that the Content Creators footage and set up is NOT the same as a regular videographer and the deliverables are very different. However, it is better to have a content creator than to have no videos of your day at all.

While these are not instant like phone footage, these are able to be edited and delivered within 4 weeks of your wedding day.
When you hire Savage Winds Films as your video team, your main Stylized Wedding Film is full of stunningly beautiful footage, drone shots when possible, high quality color grading, sound editing and music from our fully licensed audio library. It is usually 8-12 minutes in length.
We capture Full Ceremony videos where we mic the bride, groom and officiant to capture quality audio, as well as using 3-4 camera angles.
We capture Full Speeches videos with bride, groom, speaker and crowd reactions mixed with our professional audio so you don't miss a word.
